My Supervision Philosophy

I believe supervision should be a collaborative, supportive, and educational experience that helps clinicians grow both professionally and personally. My goal is to create a space where interns feel comfortable asking questions, exploring challenges, and developing confidence in their clinical skills.

My supervision style is person-centered while also being practical and solution-focused. I believe that knowledge is power, so I place a strong emphasis on psychoeducation, case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, and understanding the “why” behind clinical interventions. I frequently use real-life examples, role-playing, metaphors, and interactive discussions to help bridge the gap between theory and practice.

As a supervisor, I strive to balance support with accountability. I will challenge you to think critically, develop your clinical judgment, and expand your skills while also providing encouragement and guidance throughout the licensure process. I view mistakes and uncertainties as opportunities for learning and growth rather than something to be feared.

My goal is not simply to help you obtain licensure. My goal is to help you become a confident, ethical, and effective clinician who feels prepared to work independently and provide quality care to clients.
